Give Hope This Holiday: How You Can Help with Relief Efforts in Honduras

Uncategorized Nov 19, 2020

This year has been an unprecedented year for hurricanes. While the average hurricane season brings 12 named storms, 2020 has had 30 named storms so far – and the season isn’t quite over yet. That’s why the Aerial Recovery Group is deploying to Honduras this weekend for a 9-day volunteer mission to assist with emergency aid and relief efforts following Hurricanes Eta and Iota. This year’s hurricanes have been particularly devastating, with back-to-back category 4 hurricanes hitting Central America. These countries, particularly Honduras, need help.

DONATE NOW

Our team of volunteers will hand deliver aid to Hondurans in desperate need. 100% of your donations goes directly to purchasing the emergency relief supplies for this trip.

From November 21-29, a group of Aerial Recovery Group volunteers will visit the hard-hit community of San Pedro Sula and the surrounding area. During that time, they will hand deliver critical supplies like food and other basic essentials as well as partner with Watts of Love to provide much-needed solar lights for residents. This trip, our volunteers will also be working alongside Food for the Poor as our partner on the ground, who have already jumped into action by sending multiple containers of aid that include basic necessities, including food, hygiene products, clothes and first aid.

“It is absolutely heartbreaking to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Eta. More than two million people lost everything, and many had no food or water for days and were waiting on their rooftops to be rescued. For the country to be hit again so soon with Hurricane Iota is beyond words, which is why Aerial Recovery Group is deploying to the region to help with the recovery,” said Britnie Turner, Founder & CEO of Aerial Recovery Group.

Our media production company, Aerial Produced, will be boots on the ground with the volunteer team and our partners capturing daily live footage of the relief efforts and general video coverage of the situation on the ground in order to spread awareness and bring much needed attention to Honduras so they can rebuild after these disasters.

“Aerial Recovery Group is jumping into action to help the people of Honduras. It’s not only critical to get down there to provide emergency relief – but also to share the stories of what’s really happening on the ground so the country can get the vital help it needs,”said Britnie Turner, Founder & CEO of Aerial Recovery Group.
